In an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to crack the US market, Sinclair licensed the designs for the ZX81 and Spectrum to the Timex Computer Corporation. Although the underlying architecture was the same and there was a high degree of compatability with the UK Sinclairs, the US versions ended up going down a significantly different development path. The earlier Timex/Sinclair machines sold very well and can still be obtained without much difficulty; the far less successful later versions are much harder to find.

Note for non-US residents: the power supplies and TV outputs of the Timex Sinclairs are US-specific and may not be compatible with other countries' standards.

Please note that items offered for sale through eBay are usually second-hand and sold without any guarantees of any sort. They may well be sold without packaging or instructions, and may not even work at all. If you have any queries about an item being auctioned, please contact the seller. Planet Sinclair cannot take any responsibility for your transactions on eBay. Always ensure that you know what you are buying!
