Aim of the game
Your target is the Alien Empire, a vast complex which is
essential to the aliens' survival; your task is to push an explosive
device called a Terratron all the way down a long highway to the gates
of the Alien HQ, where it will detonate and destroy the Aliens.
Game play
You control a Dalek-like robot called a Vorton, which must
be kept charged up from power points along the highway, as contact
with the enemy or their weapons drains power. The Vorton accelerates
forwards very rapidly but slows down quite slowly, which makes control
a little difficult! You must point it in the right direction and then
move it.
The road to the Empire is littered with obstacles and various
guardians. As well as this, the edge of the roadway is charged with a
lethal voltage of electricity. Certain objects can be moved by firing
at them with your lasers and then used to block the path of some of
the guardians, ensuring a safe passage for yourself.
En route, the Terratron must be recharged seven times to keep it in
operating condition; look out for the Regeneration stations. The
status window shows how many charges it has received, as well as your
energy levels and time.
