There was someone working on this, but it has been some time now, and I
suspect it has withered on the vine. You might look at

A bit biased, but pretty good overview. Also, at
www.roaringpenguin.com, he has a 'slide slow' of how PPP over Ethernet
works. I haven't looked lately but would suspect that Jamal Hadi Salim
also has something on this: http://www.davin.ottawa.on.ca/pppoe/.
