At the Linux Kongress I had the opportunity of speaking about Linux-HA. The Congress was a very successful event as far as Linux-HA is concerned. Many, many folks asked me about the project, and quite a few want to contribute. My talk attracted slightly more than half of the attendants (the Qt talk taking place in the other room at the same time), well-known Linuxers like Eric Youngdale, Theodore Ts'o, Stephen Tweedie, Dirk Hohndel, Harald Koenig and Gert Doering being amongst them (sorry if I missed some of you), as well as the folks from Caldera, Inc., S.u.S.E. (who are just expanding to the U.S.) and LST (who will become Caldera Germany soon BTW). I haven't seen David Miller during the talk but I talked to him a lot and he is quite excited about HA. Plus, Leonard Zubkoff, the SCSI maintainer, appreciates the needs of Linux-HA.
In his final talk, Jon "maddog" Hall stressed the importance of High Availability for Linux a couple of times. The bottomline is, the right folks are with the project!
